Heavenbound

I planned to pen a new entry to mark the anniversary of Jacob’s passing. But, I could not beat my original and so, I am reposting it instead. -R

Today we celebrate Jacob’s homecoming into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior. Jacob was unable to recover from the stress of the surgery. His heart was already weak and just was not up to the task. The surgery took place about 3pm on Monday afternoon, and Jacob passed just after 1am Tuesday morning.
We know that Jesus has welcomed him, to join him at a seat on his lap, rejoicing that another lamb has returned to him. And while Deb, Addison and I (along with our entire family) mourn bitterly, we receive great comfort and overwhelming peace with this knowledge. How do I…

  2. Thank you, Diane. The strength was not mine, but certainly came from God’s good grace as well as those around me. Not a week goes by that Deb and I don’t think about you and your family as well.
