Here is a quick photo of Jacob. He has a strong grip with his right hand when something is placed nearby. This is taken near the moment Jacob was baptized. What an incredible moment that was.

The journey of a lifetime.

Jacob was born April 9, 2016 at 9:51 pm, at just 23 weeks gestation. At birth he weighed 1 lb 7 oz and measured 12.25″ in length.
He is certainly a gift from God, who despite these early challeges has a plan for him and us. Big sister, Addison is very excited to welcome her little brother into the world. Unfortunately, she’s not able to visit or hold him while in NICU for another several weeks.
Deb is doing very well and expected to be discharged on April 11.
This is the first of what we hope to be many, regular entries to help keep our loved ones up to date on the news about Jacob. Please be patient with us as we try to process all of this, and know that we are so very comforted by your overwhelming support. We feel lifted up by your prayers, so please keep those coming.
Welcome. The following posts are inspired by the life events of the first half of 2016. We began documenting the birth, progress, and passing of our infant son, Jacob, on CaringBridge. We now aim to share with you how God’s grace, and the love of our friends and family, have set a wonderful thing in motion.
We encourage you to first begin by reading the CaringBridge posts. Then, we would love to have you remain with us along this journey by signing up for e-mail notices.
